Already for 25 years El Sanctuario has been a place of loving care created for all those horses, mules, donkeys and ponies after being found tied on walls, on very short chains in pitch dark stables, chains on legs, necks with deep wounds filled with maggots abundant in the Summer, in bare fields without food or water, so beaten that there is no skin left on them.

There are about 30 ducks which were abandoned on a field with their wings cut or feathers pulled out so they cannot fly, about 180 to 200 cats are being fed every day and they all are castrated & wormed. And all of the above is done by one elderly German lady and her husband. She is nearly blind, but still going strong. They have put all their savings into El Sanctuario but obviously they need help. It takes a lot of stress to find the money, to feed these abandoned mistreated animals, to give them the best veterinary care, to have stables. LetUs help those that help the innocent. As the elderly couple do not have a facebookpage, they simply invite everyone to visit El Sanctuario in St Gertrudis, to connect with these thankful creatures who are asking for your help after being so mistreated.
